1. Who we are and agreeing to these terms
noramichelle.com, our newsletter and our free-book pages are run by Nora Michelle Publishing, a trading name of MT Online Enterprises LLC, a Texas company (“we”, “us”, “our”). You can contact us at contact@noramichelle.com.
By using our website, joining our newsletter or downloading one of our books, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them.
Adults only. Our books and newsletter include romance with explicit content and are intended for adults. You must be 18 or older to use our website, join our newsletter or download our books.
2. Using our website
You’re welcome to read, enjoy and share links to our website. Please don’t:
• copy our content, covers, logo or excerpts for commercial use or pass them off as your own;
• scrape or harvest information from the site, including email addresses;
• try to hack, overload or interfere with the site or our sign-up and download pages;
• use the site to break the law or harass anyone.
All text, book covers, excerpts, images and the Nora Michelle name and logo belong to us or the people who licensed them to us. Nothing in these terms gives you ownership of them.
We may change, pause or remove any part of the site at any time.
3. Our books and free downloads
When you download a book from us, including a free book, it’s for your own personal reading. You may not share, upload, resell, give away or post copies of it, in whole or in part, anywhere. Sharing ebook files hurts indie authors and is copyright infringement.
Free downloads are delivered through BookFunnel. BookFunnel’s own terms apply to its service, and its support team can help if you have trouble downloading. Free offers can change or end at any time.
4. Our newsletter and giveaways
Joining. Some free books are offered in exchange for joining our newsletter. When you tick the box to join, you agree to receive our emails, usually about twice a week. They include book recommendations, Nora Michelle news, special offers and affiliate links.
Leaving. You can unsubscribe at any time using the one-click link at the bottom of every email. You keep any book you’ve already downloaded. Some subscriber-only downloads may no longer be available to you after you unsubscribe.
Giveaways and contests. If we run a giveaway, it will have its own official rules, which will apply alongside these terms. If those rules conflict with these terms, the giveaway rules win for that giveaway.
5. Affiliate links and book recommendations
Affiliate links. Some links on our website and in our emails are affiliate links. If you buy something through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. We may also take part in other affiliate programs.
Paid promotions and swaps. Some books we feature are paid promotions, or part of a swap where another author features our books in return. We only recommend books we think our readers may enjoy.
Prices change. Book prices, including “free” deals, are set by the author and the retailer and can change at any time, sometimes within hours. Always check the price on the retailer’s page before you buy.
6. Other websites
Our website and emails link to other websites, such as Amazon, BookFunnel and other authors’ pages. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. Any purchase you make is between you and that retailer.
7. Your messages, feedback and copyright complaints
Your messages and feedback. We love hearing from readers. If you email us, reply to a newsletter or answer a survey, we may use your ideas and feedback to improve our books and emails. We’ll ask your permission before quoting you publicly, and we’ll never publish your email address.
Copyright complaints. If you believe something on our website uses your work without permission, email contact@noramichelle.com with a description of the work, where it appears on our site and your contact details. We’ll look into it promptly.
8. Disclaimers and our liability
We work hard to keep our website, emails and downloads accurate and working, but we provide them “as is”. We can’t promise they’ll always be available, error-free or free of viruses, and we don’t guarantee the accuracy of book prices, descriptions or third-party content.
To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of our website, emails or downloads. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to $100.
You agree to cover any losses or costs we face because you broke these terms, for example by sharing copies of our books.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived.
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. If you have a problem, please email us first so we can try to fix it.
If we can’t resolve it, any legal claim must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Collin County, Texas. Either of us may also use a small claims (justice) court if the claim qualifies.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll change the date at the top when we do, and tell subscribers by email if a change is significant. If you keep using our website or newsletter after a change, the updated terms apply.
If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
